Jessica Chastain is outstanding in this and Idris Elba brought me to tears. Aaron Sorkin has a habit of bringing out the very best in his actors, and he hit a home run with Mollys Game. I cannot recommend this one enough.

This is an excellent screenplay adapted by the same writer who wrote the script for 'A Few Good Men'. Jessica Chastain shines and is ably supported by the likes of Idris Elba, Kevin Costner, and Chris O'Dowd. You do feel for Molly Bloom in this, but at the same time I wondered how an obviously intelligent woman thought she'd ever get away with it. Who thinks they could run a big ticket gambling operation and not fall foul to organised crime, the FBI, or both? I liked the build up in this, and Molly's slow sink into quicksand. It in turns surprises, upsets and makes you laugh. I expected the scene with Costner towards the end of the film, but it still managed to bring a lump to the throat. How can people treat their kids like that? So you got her up to Olympic standards, but at what cost? When I went to the cinema it was a toss up between this and the Star Wars movie. This was such a better investment of time.

Parents never fully realize the impact they have on their children. Too often it's a car crash. Jess C. was simply superb, the grown up poster child of one who had survived what was a bewildering childhood yet retaining a sense of honor and integrity. 'Parents need to love, not shove' their kids. and ''If you fall from grace in your child's eyes, try not to blame the child for seeing your clay feet.'' The scene with Kostner on the park bench brought tears to my eyes, it was so poignant and telling of their relationship...ironically reversed, with her owning her actions, giving him the comfort and reassurance her own childhood had been denied. This is one of the best, most subtly insightful films I have seen in a long, long while. Acting was sterling, all around. 10/10

Great movie. You don't feel pity or disgust. You just get why and where she's coming from, whether you would do the same or not. I don't know the actress' name who was Molly Bloom but she is the best female at these type of movies. The first one I watched was Jessica Sloan and I was blown away. She's the type who can be a badass female without being over sexualized or who has to be a 'man' in order to be heard or seen. I like that she chooses those types of roles of being a go getter and accepting the outcome of your own actions.

Awesome flick.Love a movie that shows a woman in power, just sad when violence comes to play. But it goes to show you even if you are legit enough to give people exactly what they want you don't need violence to collect the outstanding debt you just provide a better service to a better client and you'll still make enough money to stay afloat. Watch she should have had was security and a personal assistant she could trust to watch her back. And also a lawyer ready and willing to provide her representation. Great story though. 7/10

My God, what a FANTASTIC movie! Also helped that Jessica Chastain's titts carried the first quarter of the movie on their own lol even though her acting was top-notch as well.

I kept expecting to find something that would disappoint in this film... it just seemed to good to be true. But from the script and cinematography, to the acting and directing, the film kept inviting me forward. Maybe it was Kevin Costner's association with the film that I expected a flop. This was far from it, I'm glad I watched it. And Costner did not disappoint.

Brilliant performance by Jessica Chastain with strong supporting presences provided by Idris Elba and Kevin Costner which will receive more well deserved awards for sure. The screenplay and first directing feature by Sorkin is excellent, based on a true story, real and direct to the point in a society ready to invent and reinvent any rules of the game, indifferent to consequences, like in most suicidal addictions....great entertainment,9/10.

Haven't had a movie make me tell my friends I was busy watching a good movie and would message them back later, in a long time. Good one! 5 stars.

Enjoyable and interesting movie that moves along unsteadily towards an ending we already know, yet want to see how it gets there. The story takes several detours, time shifts, and flashbacks, but it eventually crosses the finish line (sports metaphor). Aaron Sorkin's screenplay is very wordy, with lots of dialogue and speechy speeches. The acting manages to somehow makes up for this. Jessica Chastain has never looked sexier, however her deadpan delivery left me a little cold. The movie slowly drew me in and by the end I was emotionally engaged. A good flick to watch when you're home alone. 7/10
