Emma Watson is to ugly to play this role. Movie was garbage as expected.

People are too attached to the original animated version that they are immediately hating this film, not noticing and acknowledging that this is a wonderfully well done movie, with all the flaws and everything. Not to mention, the animated version had flaws too. Comparisons are inevitable, and I know that, but this movie isn't looking to replace the animated. Instead of telling people to just watch the animated version, why not watch both? I see this live action as a wonderful addition.

I'll stick with the original animated musical, thanks. This was not only unnecessary, it was really shoddy looking and it just doesn't work as a live action movie. Cocteau's version was much better at playing with the surrealist notions in the fairy tale. 2/5 for some of the cast.

I want to like Emma, but she's just not a good actress. I put her in the same category as Kristen Stewart. When you watch both their performances on screen it's kinda awkward and emotionless. It takes you outta the movie. The movie is good either way, there's plenty to like other than Emma Watson's performance.

People are overanalysing this film. Leave the psychological syndromes out of it, and enjoy it for what it is - an absolute masterpiece. Watching this, I felt like a child again. This version evokes all the right emotions, leaving you with the perfect high at the end. Yes, beside from the few added extras, it is the same as the Disney animated original, but what were you expecting? Maleficent, and Cinderella are no different. There are some genuinely funny moments in this little gem, and all the actors filled their roles magnificently. An instant favourite in my books. Thanks uploaders.

Really good Video quality it is dark in a few areas but compleatly watchable, the sound is low even with everything turned full blast so headphones is recommended. Overall this copy is great and well worth watching 7/10 The movie is really good I remember watching the cartoon many years ago and it kept my interest because of the living lightcandle (not much of a musical fan) this is just like that but 5X better the acting and voices where great id give it a 8/10 but like I said im not much of a musical fan.

In response to that Texasman idiot - We all know that inferior little whelps like you prefer your actresses with massive amounts of plastic surgery and huge tits. Undoubtedly, you are one of the few shitbags who can't appreciate classic beauty, unaltered greats like Audrey Hepburn. I do not say that Emma Watson is the next Audrey, but she certainly is beautiful, and I believe she will grow even more attractive as she gets older. Saying that someone is 'too ugly' to play a character is not only ridiculous, but it really depends on your interpretation of beauty. Chances are, you're one ugly mother who really wouldn't know true beauty if it slapped him in the face. I haven't seen this movie, but am taking my niece to see it tomorrow. Unlike the little shit, I won't be refusing to see it based on the appearance of an actress. He probably hated the fact that one of the characters portrays a gay man.

to be honest i didn't have any high expecations for this one but i found it to be worse then i thought it would be, i loved the animated one when i where a kid and still think it is a great movie, this even tho it's longer seemed rushed and missed a lot of parts, in the begining they tried to hard to look exacly like the animation which was odd to me and then they totaly changed things around which made it just akward, Emma as Bell well she dosen't fit in as the role for Bell, gasdon's side kick i don't get why they didn't take a dwarf to play his role would been a lot better perhaps none of the dwarf actors liked the script and forsaw how this movie's meta score would sink like a ship, one thing that i notise a lot and which bugged me was how it seemed like every time they drank something in the movie or eat they never really eat or even got close to and all cup's looked empty, did the budget run out so they couldn't even have water in the cup's? overall i'd guess the acting was good and there was some good effects, so one can't blame the actress or actors to much they where just given a very poorly writen script, perhaps if they made the movie twice as long as into a part 1 and 2 it would have actually been good, but the result this one gave i'd say this is the worse Disney movie i've ever seen, and im sad they did such a poorly remake of a beloved childhood cartoon.

I'm afraid I wouldn't recommend this movie, at least not to adults. I'm sure most kids would enjoy it though, and it's not really a bad film: just a very mediocre one

Another childhood memory thrown in the dust... i prefer the animated over the live action in this scenario

I love the animated 1991 Beauty and the Beast - as a kid and an adult - and I think the animated Belle is by far the most beautiful cartoon character ever. The animated Belle also had grace and poise, and there was a quiet dignity about her. The music was wonderful, and Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson's Beauty and the Beast is stunning. The live action version of Beauty and the Beast, on the other hand, is underwhelming in many aspects, and the casting left a lot to be desired. However, it appears that I am in the minority, since the film is doing very well at the box office.

Big fan of the cartoon... was kinda upset with this... so was my son. And he loves the cartoon! Took as much "Emmy" out of this as possible... I kinda had a wet one on for it until the end... the end KILLED it for me... expect almost the Same exact thing as the original disney production. Just different voices and not so good emma watts singing. They basically sprung for whatever they could to keep the hits they had with they first and a few extra details in. Hate to spoil it. I was disappointed. Been looking forward to this one for awhile. You know... They like to create that great build up and all. I swear to god if this movie wins ANY type of award using recycled stuff, I will boycott the Emmys. Well... I don't watch them anyway so... not exactly their loss, I suppose. Just in case nobody else out there knows, the original disney movie got like 11 Emmys for the music and songs alone. And um... oh. Who wants to watch the SAME EXACT STORY THEY'VE SEEN A MILLION TIMES OVER YET AGAIN? Apparently a lot of people, judging by past comments.

loved it. New or old, the concept is still the same. Wish the rest of the world would act as the Disney characters do. 10/10

It was good. Different type of ending than the 90's animation. But a pleasant film. 8/10

The movie follows the beloved and vibrant animated version from 1991. The few minor adaptations didn't do much for the plot of the movie. This version also lacks the joy, magic and charm you can find in the 1991 version. I also coudn't find the gay moment in the movie, can you?

A truly enjoyable film. The feather duster didn't really work, other than that every else was perfect. And the multi-ethnic casting added some spice. Thumbs up.

A wonderful watch & very well done! Even though I'm not really big on musicals, I just had to watch this one for nostalgia:) Enjoyed it way more than I expected! 8/10
