Why didn't someone give Robert a psych test or two before they even put him in there?

for all the many people who keep saying this one is fake: I HAVE to say this. I live in Jeffersonville/Clarksville, Indiana. Usually I am the first one to talk about how fake a reality show is. I usually will not watch a reality show because it annoys me how they are fake and anymore its as obvious as a wrestling match. I realize there is probably a lot of instigation via producers, etc. But I KNOW that this one is real. I live here. I have been locked up in several, probably more than I should admit, county jails in US. NOT this one, but enough to know whats going on. I know a few of the people that have been filmed in this show, I know the talk regarding this show, how the jails were prior to this show and how they are today. It is real, it is sad and unfortunate, but its real and there are many other jails that is no different than this one. Ive only gotten to the third epi as i stated, i typically avoide fake ass reality shows but after all the hype about this one I have finally started watching.

Robert and Jeff were lambs to the wolves from day one, why did they even participate in this show

They should just rename the show "Don't Do What Robert Does". Notice how all the authoritarian people (police-related, teacher) are the worst and weakest people the second they don't have power.

it's interesting how Tami just falls apart. She came into this being a police officer and used to having authority over other people. However, the first day she got checked and nobody gave a damn who she thought she was! Her reality does not exist inside that space. She is starting tio understand that her control on the outside was "given" to her as a job, on the inside you have to "take" control. She hasn't figured out how to do that. Those other two chicks talk too much.

I AM SPEAKING FROM MY EXPERIENCE! I AM NOT TRYING TO OFFEND ANYONE WHAT SO EVER SO PLEASE I'M TELLING IT AS I WITNESSED IT! Season one was good BUT, that jail is mild in the womans' section! I guarantee you Barbara would not have lasted one week if she had volunteered for season two! Georgia is more like what county jail is really like. There are usually more blacks than whites and it's a whole different ballgame for a white if you think you are going to be friends with the black women in jail like you are on the outside. They start picking on you as soon as you walk in and always scheming. Most of the blacks act like it is no big deal, they are right at home, laughing, playing cards, watching Soul Train and that female warrior show. Lesbian sex as soon as 11:00 comes around! Hootch and drugs abound. Time goes by so slow it is torture! One hour seems like 5. The food is cold and disgusting. No pillows. Some places don't have enough blankets and the jail keeps the air on so it's always under 60 degrees and it is freezing! I could go on and on. Also bear in mind that this is county jail, not prison! Imagine what that is like! That would be a show now if you had volunteers to go to real prison under cover!

The one thing which is AMAZING about this show..is how all the planted inmates steer towards the other planted inmates! Can you smell innocence on another human being?!? Because I see no other way then your olfactory picking out another innocent person..great second season.

Having been locked up a couple times, this is exactly what county is like, except in the Harris Co jail in Houston Tx was way more over crowded on the women's floors and a ton of turnover. Women always seem to try to get along better than the men that's for sure. Women will actually bond super fast. On that note... Robert is an idiot and I want to punch him in the face and Tammy needs to fucking chill. Glad to see she is or it would have gotten way more rough for her. Its so different for men than women in county. Mens need to stay away and not really make friends because it can get dangerous, but for women the best thing to do is make everyone your friend. I'm really liking this show so far, I really want to know what happens. 5/5

I'm into this, can't wait to see more! I'd never sign up for this lol but I'm glad they did. Interesting the different personalities adjust on their own. But that damn teacher Robert, wow, I actually hope he gets a reality check, he's a weirdo and a jerk. I'm curious how they planned to protect their safety, can't imagine this will go over well once everyone finds out who they actually were.

This seems like a really really bad idea. They couldn't have gotten people more familiar with criminal behavior from experience and not just arrogant attitudes. That teacher needs knocked down a peg or 2.

Seems like it could be interesting. Small spoiler alert, funniest part of the show was buddies wife responding to him saying I hope you don't find a boyfriend while I'm in there with " I hope YOU don't find a boyfriend in there" LMAO

I work in a detention center, and yeah this seems very legit from what I get to see/hear . I only work in the kitchen but i do have a crew of inmates and they were the ones telling me to watch this and they have soups betting on Robert getting jumped lol

To me it's obvious that some of this is staged, great concept though and I find much of it really funny so I'll keep watching to see how things develop. If Robert is not an actor (a really bad one), then I'm the Queen of England.

Why do they not get any yard time. The lack of sunlight has negative effects on us. Maybe I'm not understanding right but how did Ricky get out of segregation before Robert? From Ricky's first fight that is. All Robert did was cover a camera. Ricky got into a fight, got sent to segregation, and was back out (to get into another fight) and Robert's still in from covering the camera. WTF???? Roberts illness is "crybabypunkitis". It's caused from fear of being put back in GP. Barbra's been coddled way to long. Tami likes drama, that's why it's all around her.

Nobody knows what it is like unless you have experienced being in an overcrowded county jail for an extended time yourself. Taking into account the editing, everything looks legit to me. I would love replies from anyone else with real experience, though...clueless keyboard commandos can keep comments contained.
